To celebrate the Blu-ray release of Lost: The Complete Fifth Season, Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment is proud to present the release’s BD-Live component, Lost University. BD-Live is an interactive feature exclusive to Blu-ray and introduced by Disney Home Entertainment. Lost University is a brand new online and integrated digital experience which allows Lost fans all over the globe to participate in an education that’s sweeping the United States. Borne out of a viral campaign at the North American Sci-Fi convention Comic-Con in July this year, Lost University has rapidly grown into a community thirsty for knowledge, with its site, www.lostuniversity.org receiving upwards of 3 million hits. More than 30,000 students already signed up for the prerequisite class, Lost 101.

From Lost: The Complete Fifth Season‘s Australian Blu-ray release on December 2nd, Aussie fans will be able to join their overseas counterparts in this worldwide interactive phenomenon. Through Science, History, Philosophy, Art, Language Studies and other electives, Lost University will take students on a journey, helping them to form a better understanding of Lost and prepare for the sixth and final season. As further incentive for all you Lost freaks, students who complete the required coursework may apply for graduation; the first 108 graduates will receive a hand-signed diploma from Lost University Presidents, series creator and executive producer Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse.
